OUR PRACTICE
Our small group of healthcare professionals works hard to keep you out of the hospital with all of its potential complications. If you are not feeling well, we won’t necessarily send you right to the emergency room. We make every effort to treat what are thought to be inpatient problems in the outpatient setting. Over many years we have developed a unique approach to cardiology, understanding that a mix of “old” and “new” ideas are necessary.
We evaluate each patient to develop the best treatment plan for them.
We offer state-of-the-art cardiology and maintain accreditation in nuclear cardiology and echocardiography, but our real focus is face-to-face evaluation, understanding that most diagnoses are made by listening to and examining patients. We continue to take notes with pen and paper so that we are not distracted by a computer screen while talking to you.
We remain in private practice, not employed by a hospital or system, and are not required to use their testing and technology. We are free to use any local, regional, or national centers.
Doctors Goldman and Miller have been practicing together since 1987. Since 2011, they have operated their small practice to better offer individuals personalized and compassionate cardiovascular care. In 2020, after nearly 40 years, Dr. Miller retired from full-time practice but remains part of Goldman & Miller Cardiology, in particular, to cover Dr. Goldman during time off. Dr. Goldman now practices with our nurse practitioner, Libby Dixon, NP.
Doctors Lary Goldman M.D. and Lynn Miller M.D. both graduated from Wayne State University Medical School and completed their internal medicine and cardiology training in Detroit hospitals. Over the years, Doctors Goldman and Miller have been on staff at Sinai, William Beaumont, Providence, Huron Valley, Botsford, and Henry Ford. They presently practice at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. Both are board-certified in internal medicine and cardiology and have additional training and/or certification in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, interventional cardiology and peripheral ultrasound.
Libby Dixon, our nurse practitioner, received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in nursing from the University of Michigan.
Our technical staff are highly trained and certified in echocardiography, vascular ultrasound, and nuclear medicine.
Our non-technical staff, whether at the front desk, medical assistants or in the business office are highly skilled, trustworthy long-term employees. All are deeply passionate about taking care of our patients and have a “can-do” attitude committed to enhancing your experience and healthcare.
